Lighting up Chearsley for Christmas!
Chearsley starts its Christmas celebrations this week, with a fabulous star shining on the church tower, an illuminated crib on the green, and switching on of the tree lights on Saturday....
Remembrance Sunday
Please note that only invited representatives of Chearsley Parish Council,
veterans and serving members of the Armed Forces and their families
residing in Chearsley, may attend the ceremony at the memorial, and must
submit their contact details as requested. The Royal British Legion has asked
that people observe the two-minute silence from the safety of outside
their own homes. If you choose to visit The Green or any other public space,
keep each other safe by respecting the 2 metre social distance rule, and do not
attend if you have symptoms of COVID-19, are isolating, or in quarantine....
Harvest
Try your hand at making a corn dolly, using this instruction leaflet, hang it on your door or display in the window to show that Chearsley is celebrating Harvest. Or a tied bunch of Autumn leaves and berries would be just as good!
Harvest Festival services at St Nicholas’ Church on Sunday 11th October:
9.30am – a traditional Harvest Festival with Holy Communion
4.00pm – an informal all age Messy Church celebration, also at the church
All services and activities at the church are ‘COVID safe’ respecting the current requirements on numbers attending, and social distancing.
Everyone is required to wear a mask or face covering inside the church building. Thank you for your co-operation at this challenging time....
